Microfluidic devices are changing the state of diagnostic tests every day; allowing for laboratory procedures to be performed entirely within compact, inexpensive chips. Pictured is a sample microfluidic device designed and manufactured in-house at Providence Texture. The device consists of 100μm fluid channels engraved into a glass slide. The chip uses delay channels and a Tesla Valve to control the fluid flow and facilitate ordered mixing of chemicals from the various reservoirs.
